3D measurement technology from Honeywell, order monitoring now also in long-distance traffic and free webinar

Was it not just January? Almost half of the year 2017 is already behind us. It feels like time is running faster than ever before. This is certainly due to the numerous, new and exciting projects that we have just realized for our customers - and of course the eventful trade fair presentation and event year in which we have already been able to show a variety of innovations. You can read more about two of these solutions in this newsletter: This is, on the one hand, the Honeywell AutoCubeTM 8200, a new 3D measurement technology and, on the other hand, a software feature from TISLOG, which makes it possible to calculate the time of arrival at the receiver in long-distance traffic.

3D measurement technology with the new AutoCubeTM 8200 from Honeywell
At the transport logistic 2017 in Munich, Honeywell's new 3D measuring technology, which can capture objects in any orientation, quickly became a crowd puller at our booth. The space-saving design with independent power supply makes it suitable for use in a wide variety of working environments.
Time-consuming and inaccurate hand measurements with the inch rule are no longer necessary. AutoCubeTM8200 measures the dimensions of objects with an edge length of at least 10 and a maximum of 100 cm in less than a second.
The AutoCubeTM8200 from Honeywell is now part of our TISWARE portfolio and is particularly suitable for parcel stations and warehouses.
Order Monitor: Calculation of the arrival time now also in long-distance traffic
What has long been a standard for parcel service providers is still new in long-distance transport: the calculation of the arrival time of a delivery. With our partner PTV, we can now offer you this additional feature. If a forwarding agent has handed over the planned tour with all stops to TISLOG, the estimated arrival time for all unloading points can be calculated.
Thanks to PTV's powerful software, traffic situations can be taken into account, which increases the accuracy of the calculation. With the new order monitor function, dispatchers can always monitor when certain stops are reached. The order monitor is also interesting for the customers of freight forwarders. After all, knowing exactly when ordered goods are arriving makes it easier to plan just-in-time productions or when spare parts can be installed.
This is why, as an additional feature, we offer our logistics customers the possibility to make the web-based order monitor available to their customers. Our software calculates an intelligent time window that can be retrieved by the customer using the delivery number. This new function is also interesting for deliveries with time service and in certain time windows.
The order monitor is based on ETA (Estimated time of arrival), a component of the PTV software integrated in TISLOG and can be activated at an extra charge.
