Security certificate: TIS is VDS3473 certified

To implement the changes, our "IST" (= information security team) was founded in recent months. The security team consists of five TIS workers, senior executives and staff, and has taken care of the securing of processes, optimizing of data exchange, documenting and deployment of security mechanisms, and training of colleagues, creating and establishing additional standards at TIS in the first half of the year.

Bernd Boll-Dullhot was appointed responsible Information Security Officer. His tasks include, among other things, the continuous monitoring of the security situation in the company and the initiation of improvements.

One of the stated goals of the certification: TIS wanted to demonstrate that the company's well-known and valued flexibility on the one hand and security on the other hand do not necessarily exclude each other.

The VdS3473 implementation process ended with one-and-a-half day of a multi-stage review by VDS on May 8 and 9, 2018. Our good preparation paid off and certification was successful at the first attempt.
At the beginning of June, the certificate was issued, which you will also find on our website from now on.
The certificate is valid for three years, subject to an evaluation of compliance with the requirements once a year.

Our security team will continue to gather adjustment to new threats.
Since we are aware that no system can achieve 100% security, we have also signed a cyber insurance policy, which ensures immediate help from professionals for us in the worst case, so that we can handle such situations in our and our customers' interests quickly and practically.
