Windows Server 2008 from TISLOG Release 8.07.00 no longer supported
For customers who host TISLOG in their own network, it is time to update outdated operating systems: With the rollout of TISLOG version 8.07.00 in August 2020, Windows Server 2008 will no longer be supported and our software will therefore no longer run on this system.
But there is no time pressure. We provide detailed information about what affected customers should consider and which options are available.
Please keep your distance - contactless signature in TISLOG
With a new feature in our TISLOG logistics software, delivery staff and customers can be better protected from infection by touching smartphones or tablet surfaces: signing has now become contactless. With a simple configuration adjustment, TISLOG users can take the signature of the consignee as a photo on their mobile device on the go. This is then automatically inserted in the proof of delivery. In this way, a contactless process and the recommended social distancing are very easy to implement even during a delivery and the driver still receives the necessary documentation necessary to prove in case of doubt that the delivery has in fact been completed.
TISLOG speaks over 100 languages
There is now good news for companies with foreign-language employees, for whom it would be easier to handle and would avoid misunderstandings if they could process orders in their own language. Since early 2020, TISLOG logistics software is offering greatly expanded foreign language options.
So far, the standard languages German and English could be used. Text modules were also available in several other languages.
For the immediate output of user interfaces and written communication in over 100 languages, the two AI language services Deepl and Google Translator have now been connected via an interface. The two tools are among the most powerful automatic translators currently available, and their intelligent learning algorithms ensure that translations are as native and grammatically correct as possible.
The difficulties in building a nationwide 5G network
Bitkom survey: Almost half of the population does not want radio masts nearby. This will delay the nationwide expansion of the 5G network.
The expansion of the new, faster and more extensive 5G mobile radio standard is still a problem. The telecommunications providers who have been able to auction frequencies in an initial bidding process have been known since last June. But apart from a few small reports of success, not much has happened. Vodafone quickly announced that the first radio masts in Cologne, Düsseldorf, Hamburg, Dortmund and Munich had been expanded for the 5G network. The same applies to the other large providers such as Deutsche Telekom and O2. They also started in some German cities. But even there, there will be no comprehensive signal.
